Hey there!

Let’s talk about something we all need to tackle at some point: taking back our power. It’s about reclaiming control over our lives, especially when it feels like everything’s slipping through our fingers.

First things first, check in with yourself. Think about where you’re feeling out of control. Is it a stressful job, a draining friendship, or maybe just feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands? Acknowledging these areas is key. You can’t change what you don’t recognize.

Next, set some boundaries. This might sound simple, but it’s super important. Boundaries help you protect your space and time. It’s okay to say no to things that drain you or people who don’t respect your limits. Remember, it’s not about being harsh—it’s about taking care of yourself. "No" is enough...no additional explanation needed.

Another big step is owning your choices. Instead of blaming others or circumstances, focus on what you can control. Your reactions, decisions, and attitudes are all within your grasp. Shifting from a victim mindset to one of active control can be so empowering. So many times we don't even realize that we have fallen into a mindset focused more on self-pity than empowerment. Be aware and pull yourself out asap if you see yourself going down this slippery slope...yet always give yourself grace. We are human, not perfect...

And don’t forget about self-care. It’s not just a buzzword; it’s absolutely essential. Make time for what makes you feel good and nurtures your well-being, not what society tells you that you should be doing. We are all unique with different perspectives and interests...do you, be you, appreciate you.

Lastly, surround yourself with positive influences and keep learning and growing. No matter your age or accomplishments, there is always something new to learn, to discover, and a new perspective for each situation. I always say if you're not growing, you're dying...no matter if we are talking about individuals, relationships, businesses, you name it. Growth is a natural part of our human experience, let's continually embrace it.

Reclaiming your power is an ongoing process, but it’s totally worth it. Start small, be patient with yourself, and watch how taking back control can transform your life. You’ve got this! I believe in you!
